Congratulations to the winners of the 2014 Government Choral Competition: Grand Champion - PAG-IBIG Fund Chorale under Anthony Go Villanueva, 1st Runner Up - PAGCOR Chorale under Crispin Ralph V. Reyes; 2nd Runner Up - City Government of Makati Employees Chorale under Maria Victoria Llamas (Also winning Best Conductor for Maria Victoria Llamas and Best Arrangement of the Competition Song by Ily Matthew Maniano); 3rd Runner Up - Pangasinan Provincial Chorale under Joy T. Nilo;
The eight semi-finalists
are DasmariƱas City Teachers Chorale, Ilocos Norte High School Chamber
Singers, and Pangasinan Provincial Chorale for Luzon; Calbayog City
Chorale for Visayas; Bayugan City Division Choir for Mindanao; City
Government of Makati Employees Chorale, PAGCOR Voice Symphony, and
PAG-IBIG Fund Chorale for Metro Manila.
The grand finals was held at
the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo
last September 30, 2014.
The Government Choral Competition was organized by CSC in partnership
with the Philippine Choral Directors Association (PCDA) as one of the
events lined up for the celebration of the 114th Philippine Civil
Service Anniversary in September, with the theme “Tapat na Serbisyo Alay
Ko Dahil Lingkod Bayani Ako.”
The lucky Grand prize winners received PHP150,000 cash prize and plaque.
First, second, and third runners-up received plaques and PHP100,000, PHP70,000, and PHP50,000, respectively.
