Halika! Join us!PETA invites you to experience its unique brand of creativity in community work. The International Workshop and Study Tour Program is a hands-on two week training program using PETA’s distinct integrated theater arts methods for social action.

The workshop is held annually every August and has been enriching the art practices of hundreds of enrollees from PETA’s international network since it began in 1997.

Culture. Creativity. Community.

Course Program

The program is open to all theater practitioners, development workers, educators, students, and individuals who are interested in using theater to draw out the creative power within people including themselves.
Learning on-site, the participants together with PETA artists, join our partner communities for cultural exchange and collaborative workshops in a unique immersion program. This face-to-face engagement with the community provides international participants a hands-on experience with theater for development. The coursework culminates in a production, devised and performed by the participants themselves.

Program Coverage and Fees

True to the spirit of Filipino hospitality, PETA offers a holistic learning experience that engages all the senses. Participants’ fees cover performance-viewing, tours, and cultural exchanges as well as food, board and lodging for the whole week-long course.
