Hansel and Gretel: A Children's Musical @ the Eastwood Mall QC

Get ready to be transported to a world of magic and mystery this June as Eastwood Mall and Kids Act Philippines bring Hansel and Gretel, A Children’s Musical.

Families, kids and kids at heart can relive the magic of the world-renowned classic tale, written by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, with the return of the award-winning musical play on June 8, 3PM at the Eastwood Mall Atrium.

With script, lyrics and direction by Luigi Nacario, and music by Eugene Belbis, the play promises to give the audience a night of world-class theatre entertainment as it brings to life the colorful journey of Hansel and Gretel, who find themselves in the middle of a whimsical forest after they were deliberately sent out by their step mother during a great famine.
Unaware of the dangers of the woods, the siblings wandered deep into the forest, where they would encounter a slew of bizarre creatures including the terrifying Witch, who lives in a mysterious house made of cake and candy. After being held captive by the Witch, who wanted to eat Hansel, Gretel found a chance to trick their captor, setting themselves free and ready for their journey back home, where they were reunited with their father.
Kids are sure to have their imaginations tickled to the fullest as they are bound witness in real life the wonderful adventures of Hansel and Gretel through colorful sets, props and costumes, lovely songs and music, and most of all, the genuine portrayal of the professional theater actors ages 7 to 14 years old from Kids Acts Philippines.
Winner of 26th Aliw Awards for Best Production for Children and 2013 BroadwayWorld Philippines Awards for Best Book, Lyrics for a Filipino Musical, Hansel and Gretel also offer parents a perfect opportunity to learn more about the Multiple Intelligences approach to a child’s learning and development – the primary advocacy of Kids Act Philippines.
By incorporating the eight intelligences—musical, visual, verbal, logical, kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal and naturalistic—in different scenes in the play, parents are sure to get helpful tips on how to transform their kids into ‘empowered learners’ and help them harness and enhance these intelligences.
Those looking to watch Hansel and Gretel, A Children’s Musical can drop by the Eastwood Mall Atrium and present their Megaworld Citi Card to get free seats. Customers can also download and present the Megaworld Lifestyle Malls App on their smartphones and devices to get free entrance to the venue.
