Bukas Palad's CD and Songbook Launch Concert - Admission is Free

The Jesuit Communications Foundation invites you to the launching of Bukas Palad's latest CD and songbook, Behold the Child: Bukas Palad Sings the Christmas Story. Join us on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the Ateneo de Manila High School Covered Courts, at 7:00 pm. Admission is free!

Join Bukas Palad as we launch our 18th studio album and 2nd collection of Christmas songs and carols! Titled BEHOLD THE CHILD (Bukas Palad sings the Christmas Story), the album is a musical retelling of the first Christmas through contemporary chants of scriptural verses, interspersed with modern-day reflections wrapped in holiday music.


The narrative chants weave elements from both Matthew’s and Luke’s Gospels. The Christmas story is then interwoven with songs in Filipino and in English, employing a variety of musical genres. These songs reflect on the characters and events surrounding the birth of Jesus.

We invite everyone to hear anew the story of the birth of our Messiah and with awe and gratitude contemplate and behold the Christ Child, God who has embraced and graced our human condition by becoming one of us.
