Two distinguished Filipino artists, flutist Antonio Maigue and pianist Rudolf Golez, will perform great works for flute and piano in Abelardo Hall Auditorium on Wednesday, July 17, 6:30pm. The concert is part of the special series of the UP College of Music as it celebrates its 50th year in UP campus.
A Ten Outstanding Young Men awardee in 2002, he currently teaches in the University of the Philippines.Rudolf Golez spent his high school years at the Julliard School of Music Preparatory Division (New York City) under Seymour Lipkin and had finished a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the University of the Philippines. He was the sole prize-winner at the First
ASEAN Chopin International Competition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2004 and had performed in concerts in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
The young virtuoso had also participated in the 9th international Piano Festivals in Tenerife and Vila-Seca, Spain and the Festival of Light in Hong Kong.
Tickets for the show are priced at P200 with special discounts for students and the elderly.
