IFC Creative Filmmaking Camp 2013

In an effort to expand the base of filmmaking practitioners, IFC (Philippine Independent Filmmakers Cooperative) is organizing a film camp for hobbyists and beginning filmmakers to jumpstart their movies this summer - 2013 IFC Creative Filmaking Camp: From Concept to Screen.

The intensive film camp is designed for those who have zero experience and even practicing filmmakers who want to refresh their skills. The film camp will give practical lectures with actual film exercises that cover the entire experience of filmmaking, from the creative aspect of filmmaking: storytelling using film language, directing, cinematography, sound and production design, post production to the other equally important side of filmmaking that many beginning practitioners need to know more: production management and producing, film distribution and exhibition.

The workshop facilitators are IFC members who excel in their craft such as Doy del Mundo who opens the event with an introduction to Independent filmmaking; Mario Cornejo and Monster Jimenez facilitate on Storytelling with Film; Paolo Villaluna and Rica Arevalo on Directing Techniques and Aesthetics with Emman dela Cruz on Directing Actors; Albert Almendralejo, Mike Dagñalan and Maan Asuncion-Dagñalan on Producing and Production Management; Jeck Cogama on Production Design; Dempster Samarista on Sound Editing and Design; Ellen Marfil on Distribution and Exhibition; and Ian del Poso on Continuity Editing. Dave Hukom of Welovepost, one of Asia’s leading boutique commercial post houses facilitates the overall process of Post Production.
