Sayawan at Awitan at the Rizal Park Central - Free Admission

 
The pride of the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, namely, the Sanlahi Pangkat Mananayaw and the UPH Choral are the featured performers this Saturday, April 27, 2013, starting at 6:00 p.m in Labs Kita, Sabado in a program aptly titled, “Sayawan at Awitan”. Venue is the Rizal Park Central in Manila.
Labs Kita, Sabado is another public service project of the Department of Tourism, under Sec. Ramon Jimenez, Jr. and the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC), under the management of Executive Director Juliet H. Villegas. This Saturday’s program is made possible with the support of the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta. NPDC Chief of the Cultural & Public Affairs Freddie Edos is the Executive in Charge of the project. Gie V. Arnold writes the script.

The Sanlahi Pangkat Mananayaw was reorganized in 2005, initiated by Mr. Bobby John Salinas, Head of the Performing Arts Group. As it gains momentum, under the artistic direction of Victor Emmanuel Flor and dance moderator Julian Paulo de Jesus, the Sanlahi intends to take off from a strong foundation to achieve greater heights and realize its vision. Together with the UPH Chorale, under the music direction of Ms. Love Jessica de la Pena, the pride of the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta will surely bring color and excitement to the local entertainment world.

For “Sayawan at Awitan”, the program is as follows: Sayawan ? Sayaw Cordillera: TADJOK, TALIPE, KAM-AN SEGAMET, TAREKTEK; Sayaw Maria Clara: LA SIMPATICA, BALSA ILOCANA, KOMINTANG, PINADYAKAN; Sayaw Mindanaw: SUA KU SUA, TUTUP, PAMANSAK, APARET; Sayaw Rural: PANDANGGO OASIOAS, SAYAW ED TAPEW NA BANGKO, TUBONG, BINUYOGAN, MALIKET A POLKA; and Awitan ? CANTATE DOMINO, MISERERE, SALMO 150, SO LIEBT GOTT, VOCHONG, KRUHAY, THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT, KAISA-ISA NIYAN, GALAWGAW, TELEBONG, ANAK, KAILANGAN KITA, KAY TAGAL, ONE DAY MORE, CAT’S MEOW, WHEN YOU BELIEVE, TUNGO SA PAGBABAGO.

Come to the Rizal Park this Saturday and witness once again our colorful dances and songs familiar to our hearts. Admission to Labs Kita, Sabado is free of charge. The public is cordially invited.
