The
"Jazz Woodshed" is an intensive introductory workshop for guitar
players, hosted by the Arts Department of the University of Asia and the
Pacific Campus featuring Jonathan Gonzales.
The workshop will be a great opportunity to explore standards, improvise beautifully, and learn to play tight with other musicians. UA&P has a solid Liberal Arts curriculum that gives importance to the education of the senses. The Jazz Woodshed is the first of a series of special topics in music to be given by Animaguitara this year 2013, in celebration of ten years of quality music enrichment programs for all ages.
Animaguitara is led by Jonathan Gonzales, a BM Guitar Major from St. Scholastica's College School of Music. Teacher Jonathan has been providing quality music mentoring for learners across the spectrum, with the support of an arts and culture programming arm that specializes in mounting trans-disciplinary art initiatives.
The Jazz Woodshed at the UA&P Campus is limited to 12 participants only but this is just the first of a series of Jazz workshops by Animaguitara.
