Jose Rizal, Historical Controversies, and the Multi-Disciplinal World
The Philippine Historical Association is pleased
to announce the holding of a one-day seminar entitled ‘Talking Points
in History: Jose Rizal, Historical Controversies, and the
Multi-Disciplinal World’ as part of the PHA Lecture Series on Special
Topics in Philippine History and Historiography to be held on February
1, 2013 from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the El Cielito Inn in Baguio City. The
one-day seminar has the following objectives:
- to strengthen the teaching of the Rizal Course
- to give an update on the latest findings with regard selected controversies and fallacies in Philippine History
- to present multi-disciplinal, non-traditional and multi-media strategies in teaching history
- to highlight the significance of culture, heritage and art in the teaching of history
- to enrich the History, Social Studies and Social Science curriculum through innovative ideas and teaching methods
Registration fee is Php 2,000 that includes conference kit, complimentary copy of Historical Bulletin, snacks and lunch. Please see attached program.
