The Miser Presented By Laugh or Lose Theater Company

Experience immense laughter as students from the University of the Philippines-Diliman showcase one of Moliere's masterpieces, "The Miser" on October 9, 7 p.m. at the Teatro Hermogenes Ylagan, Faculty Center, UP Diliman, presented to you by Laugh or Lose Theatre Company.
Witness how Harpette, a miser in her own right, dysfunctionally runs her household as stories of love, money, family, and lust unfold. Harpette is a woman with a green-thumb, not to plants, but to money. Money makes her world go round, it is the blood that runs through his veins, and it is her last thought before bed and his first upon waking. But there is a problem. Her children are in love. Is love something that should overpower money? Should he choose the overwhelming power of love over money?

The play explores themes on money, love, and everything in between. Find out what weighs more to her: money or love?

This production is part of the students' final requirement for Theatre 100 under Prof. Michelle Washington, founder and president of MMQ Theatre and Events Group, Inc., a not-for-profit organization.
