Night In A Different Light Astrophotography Exhibit

The Mind Museum, the first world-class science museum in the Philippines, celebrates Space Month with an out-of-this-world line up of talks and workshops. With a vision to become the center for the public understanding of science, the museum organizes “MindBurst” events to show that Science is fun, engaging and accessible to all.

From October 31-21, 2012, the Philippines’ best astrophotographers will display stunning photographs of heavenly bodies & galaxies in an exhibit entitled “Night In A Different Light”. Photographers include Christopher Go, John Nassr, Anthony Urbano, Christopher Lu, and Erika Valdueza. Visitors may also get a chance to see a part of the meteorite collection of Allen Yu. Access to the exhibit is FREE for all regular museum ticket holders and all-day MindBurst ticket holders.

Don’t miss out on our other exciting MindBurst events!

“Rovers without Borders” is a workshop on Robotics and Space Exploration. It will be held on Sunday, October 21 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at the museum Mind Pods. Everyone is invited to participate in this hands-on activity on robot design and simple robot programming.

Later in the afternoon of October 21 (Sunday) from 4:30pm-5:30pm, there will also be a workshop on Stargazing entitled “Stalking the Stars”. Workshop participants will get to learn about constellations, as well as spot planets by using sky maps, planispheres, computer software, and even telescopes.
