Ifugao Dance Exhibit By Wahoo Guerrero

The Linearity of the Ifugao Dance, an exhibition by artist Wahoo Guerrero opening on October 13, 2012, 4:00pm at the Print Gallery of the Bencab Museum.
In this exhibit, Guerrero aims to capture the merging lines of the Ifugao dance with the landscape of the mountain province honoring the Ifugao people's intimate relationship with their landscape which they have been cultivating from generation to generation for more than 2,000 years.

The photographs are black and white printed with archival-pigmented ink on canvas.

About the Artist:

Wahoo Guerrero (b. 1947) studied Painting at the Escuela de Bellas Artes San Jordi in Barcelona, Spain. With a solid foundation in fine arts he went on to explore other creative expressions such as: photography; film; functional art. All his works however remain unified by a keen awareness of man’s place in the universe. His works have been exhibited in Sining Kamalig Gallery, The Cultural Center of the Philippines, Manila Contemporary, Crucible Gallery and CATM Chelsea Gallery in New York.
