Arts and Spirituality Forum

Some of the most respected personalities in Philippine art and art education will lend their insights and expertise at the Institute of Spirituality in Asia’s 12th Spirituality Forum on the theme “Spirituality and Arts”.
Scheduled to speak at the event are: art professor and author Fr. Rene Javellana, SJ, and dance choreographer Agnes Locsin on August 8; writer and literature professor Asuncion David-Maramba and National Museum assistant director Ana Maria Labrador on August 9; and NCCA Chair Felipe de Leon, Jr. on August 10.

Also on the last day is a plenary session led by the ISA International Academic Advisory Board, in an event that draws over a hundred teachers, students, academic researchers, religious and professionals from various fields each year.

The Spirituality Forum Series is organized by the Institute of Spirituality in Asia, a research and academic institute for the scholarly learning of spirituality. In partnership with the Southeast Asia Interdisciplinary Development Institute (SAIDI), ISA offer M.A. and Ph.D. programs in Organization Development, major in Transformative Spirituality, a modular course that counts among its graduates many leaders in the areas of social enterprise, the academe, and advocacy - among the most recent is award-winning actress and environmentalist Chin-Chin Gutierrez, who received her doctorate degree this year.
