ROUTE Take Center Stage @ the Concert at the Park

Five seasoned local musicians, namely Jonathan Zuniga Urbano (violin/guitar/vocals), Empiel Palma (guitar/vocals), Joven Aguilar (guitar/vocals), Mike Brewer (guitar/vocals) and Kelvin Corteza (drums), collectively known as ROUTE, take center stage in Concert at the Park in a program of soul music and the group’s original works. Ms. Minette Padilla is program host.

Concert at the Park is a regular public service project of the Department of Tourism, under Sec. Ramon Jimenez Jr., the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC), under Executive Director Juliet H. Villegas, and the People’s Television Four, in partnership with the Ballet Repertory Philippines and the Kalayaan National Committee 2012. NPDC Chief of the Cultural & Public Affairs Freddie A. Edos is the Executive In Charge of the project. Gie V. Arnold writes the script.

ROUTE is a five man powerhouse team of seasoned musician who’s been backing prominent persons in the Pinoy music scene. United for their passion for blues tunes and 70s classic rock ROUTE now is making waves in the music scene in metro areas with their wide repertoire of tunes from Doobie Brothers, Papa john Creach, Steely Dan, Eagles Buddy guy, Eric Clapton, and their contemporaries as well as some juicy and catchy original works from their collaboration.

For their concert this Sunday, ROUTE has prepared the following program: JESUS IS JUST ALRIGHT, LONG TRAIN RUNNING, BLACK WATER and LISTEN TO THE MUSIC (Doobie Brothers); BIG LEG BABY, SWEET LIFE and GIRL YOU MUST BE CRAZY (Papa John Creach); YOUR LATEST TRICK (Dire Straits); SILOG, SILOG and PATAY NA ANG KABAYO (Empie Palma); I CAN’T TELL YOU WHY(Eagles); COCCAINE and RIVER OF TEARS (Eric Clapton); THE THRILL IS GONE (BB King); REELIN’ IN THE YEARS (Steely Dan) and MUSTANG SALLY (Buddy Guy).

Admission to Concert at the Park is free of charge.
