Metamorphosis By Camille Dela Rosa

Camille Dela Rosa would be having a “Metamorphosis” exhibit at Sparks Museum on June 19, 2012, Center for Performing Arts De la Salle Santiago Zobel School, University Ave, Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinglupa City.

About 100 paintings dating back from 1991, when she was only 9 years old to the art works from the present year will be featured in the forthcoming exhibit.

A self-taught artist, Camille’s early works were typically influenced by the color and style of her late noted father, Ibarra. In 2009, she mounted a solo exhibit titled “Aenigma” which shock the art scene. Her works transformed drastically from hedonistic garden, church and landscape paintings to morbid, strange and macabre subjects.

As she continue to explore those that are beyond realism, she had also won several awards in several art competitions; the Philippine Art Award, Art Association of the Philippines Competition and the Pagalingang Pinay Art Contest, among others. Her current works are now characteristically labeled as surrealism and fantastic art.

The exhibit is for the benefit of DLSZ Visual Arts Programs and St. John maria Vianney Foundation.
