In relation to the ongoing exhibit Somewhat Different: Contemporary Design and the Power of Convention, the talk is an overview of trends in Philippine contemporary art - from the Modernist tradition of the late 1950s to the present day - focusing on the innovations of our Filipino artists in technique, style, and material as they broke away from the previous generation.
