The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) opened a photo exhibit at the DFA lobby to commemorate Araw ng Kagitingan, which is celebrated annually every 9th of April.
Dubbed “Monuments to an Exalted Past”, the photo exhibit showcases 20 statues and shrines located around Metro Manila and nearby provinces. It is a celebration of the country’s revolutionary past and the heroism of the Filipino people.
The photo exhibit offers information about the featured monuments and their significance to the Philippines’ struggle for independence.
This is a collective effort of Batch 17 of the DFA’s Foreign Service Officers Corps as “a humble contribution to the process of collective remembering on the occasion of Araw ng Kagitingan”.
