Now on its 11th year as a theater company, Atty. Vince M. Tañada is also excited about this year and is eager to meet the new batch of summer workshop participants, “This is our commitment and helping those individuals who aspire to break into the theater industry via our workshops is something that excites me each year.

“It is a wonderful experience to find fresh and new bloods to compose our upcoming productions. This is just one of the many ways we are doing to give back to God and to our artistically-inclined potential theater artists in the Philippines.”

PSF is has produced notable names in their stable of homegrown talents and have also been cited in award-giving bodies. The likes of Cindy Maree Liper who was the ‘Cory’ in the recently concluded all-original and all-Filipino musical - ‘Cory ng EDSA’ and her alternate, Glory Ann Nacional were both products of its previous workshops. Jordan Ladra who played Rey, Patrick Libao as Tañada’s alternate in most productions, Kierwin Larena who played Enzo in ‘Enzo… Santo’ as well as Monique Azerreda who also appeared as Anette in ‘Cory ng EDSA’ - are just among the many familiar faces that their audiences have come to love and follow not just onstage but even on social media sites like facebook and twitter.

PSF is a fast-rising and critically-acclaimed professional theater company duly organized and registered under the laws of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It is headed by Atty. Vincent M. Tañada, a lawyer and writer as its artistic director. He is joined by Jeffrey T. Ambrosio, an interior designer and Hans Christian H. Lim, a professional computer analyst and graphics designer as the three head honchos. However, PSF is not just an ordinary performing group, but is also an organization that aims to helping the poor, the sick, the elderly and the forgotten through the medium of theater arts. Today, the Foundation has more than fifty (50) high school and college scholars.

Aside from its very active scholarship program, the group has also organized outreach activities at various charitable institutions such as Golden Acres Home for the Aged, Servants of Charity, National Center for Mental Health and Reception Study Center for Children. Through this, Philippine Stagers Foundation is an artistic team with a purpose in the society.
