Dinagyang show wows crowds in CCP's Pasinaya 2012

The colorful fanfare of Iloilo province’s Dinagyang Street Dance Festival, along with the nation’s different performing arts groups, enthralled numerous visitors at the Pasinaya 2012, the biggest one day multi-arts festival held at various venues of the Cultural Center of the Philippines recently. Around 60,000 people attended the said event.

Tribung Lunok of the Iloilo City National High School (1st Runner up of the Dinagyang 2012 Ati Tribe Competition) took part in the opening ceremonies and parade at the Pedro Bukaneg Street of the CCP Complex, with repeat performances by the said group held throughout the day. 
More than two thousand artists from dance, music, theater, visual arts, literature and cinema participated in the festivities, led by the CCP’s resident companies – the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, the UST Symphony Orchestra, the Philippine Madrigal Singers, Tanghalang Pilipino, Bayanihan Philippines National Folk Dance Company, the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group, Ballet Philippines, Philippine Ballet Theater and the winners of the National Music Competitions for Young Artists.  
Every venue of the CCP was used, from theaters, lobbies, hallways, promenade areas, the alley beside the Production Design Center and “zoned” according to the genres of music, theater, dance, film, literature, visual arts, children and family, variety and the artists market.
