The Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival will take place on March 2, 3 and 4 at the foot of Mt. Malasimbo in Puerto Galera. Volume Unit Entertainment, the company behind Malasimbo, seeks to provide awareness on the country’s nature conservation through the best format possible – engaging, compelling, ethereal music, featuring both local and international musical acts. Headlining the festival is Afrofilipino, King of Latin Soul, Joe Bataan from New York City. Although he has never visited the Philippines, the home country of his father, Bataan was always clear on his heritage – he is proud to be Pinoy. He will be joined by international acts DJ Kentaro (Japan), DJ Cam (France) and others to be announced, as well as local performers Goodleaf, Drip, Kalayo, Red I, D’ Tech, DJ Umph, Supreme Fist, Mebuyan, Arbie One and many more.

Complementing the musical scene, there will be art installations by top Filipino visual artists. The sculptural garden will feature works of Gus Albor, Agnes Arellano, Billy Bonnevie, Karla Cachola, Olivia d'Aboville, Kawayan de Guia, IC Jaucian, Niccolo Jose, Dondi Katigbak, Grace Katigbak, Denis Lagdameo, Juliet Lea, Nikki Luna, Leeroy New, Goldie Poblador, Alwin Reamillo, Risa Recio, Mikai Rodrigo
