THE Cultural Center of the Philippines will present a weekly cultural show featuring community-based and school-based folk dance groups starting in October. The shows are open to the public, free of charge.

Billed Filipiniana Sunsets at the CCP, the folk dance series, to be held outdoors at the CCP’s North Promenade from 6PM to 7PM, will regale audiences with the colorful pageantry of local folk songs and dances set against the world famous Manila sunset.

Filipiniana Sunsets at the CCP will start with the Bulacan State University Lahing Kayumanggi Folk Dance Troupe on October 19 to be followed by the Lahing Kayumanggi of Pagsanjan, Laguna on October 26. Other groups slated to perform are: Letran University Folk Dance Troupe on November 9; Mga Anak ni Inang Daigdig on November 16; CEU Dance Troupe on November 23; Sindaw Philippines Performing Arts Guild on December 7; and UP Filipiniana Folk Dance Troupe on December 14 and December 21.
