ASEAN Cultural Youth Camp 2011
The NCCA is now accepting applicants for the ASEAN Cultural Youth Camp which will be held in Borobudur, Indonesia from November 20 – 27, 2011. The camp, with the theme, “We Feel, We Care, and We Share our Culture Identity”, is a 7-day interaction activities among young representatives from ASEAN and ASEAN+3 (China, Japan and Korea) member states. It aims to strengthen cultural cooperation between ASEAN and ASEAN+3; to promote awareness and understanding of each other’s culture through interactive activities; and to build friendship among the youth delegates.
Indonesia, as host country, will be responsible for the international airfare, accommodation, meals and local transportation of the youth delegates for the duration of the camp.
The Philippines, through the NCCA, will be sending a 4-member youth delegation to the abovementioned camp who will meet the following requirements:
Must be a Filipino citizen
Must be a mature and responsible youth between 16-25 years old
Must have an understanding and appreciation of Philippine culture and the arts
Must have good human relations
Must have a good command of the English language
Possessing a special skill in any of the following: traditional dance, traditional music, archaeology, and photojournalism.
Please note that previous ASEAN Youth Camp participants need not apply. Deadline for submission of application will be on or before September 30, 2011. Application shall be accompanied with the following:
Letter of Intent
Recommendation letter
Portfolio or sample of works
Curriculum Vitae
2”x2” photo with white background (in jpeg format)
