PETA's Haring Lear

The play is set in a post nuclear landscape that highlights the dramatic descent of a king into madness. As he is plunged into the world of anarchy, the themes of vision and blindness are explored masterfully by Shakespeare in this drama of purgation.

Lear becomes mad at the same moment when he gains a vision of the cruelty of the world and the evil nature of his daughters. He discovers the real meaning of loyalty, love, and fidelity in his servants and his youngest daughter, Cordelia, whom he banished

Last 2014, ENGLICOM DLSU-M kick-started its 50th year as it launched the first ever college music festival in the Metro, Jacko Wacko Music Festival. Almost a year has passed after that memorably epic night; and while others are celebrating 2015 with fireworks, ENGLICOM opens its doors once again as another SEQUEL of the previous music festival has risen the shores of Manila - Jacko Wacko Music Festival: Into The Waves.

Ballet Philippines' "MANHID: The Pinoy Superhero Musical"

On February 2015, “MANHID: The Pinoy Superhero Musical” wraps up Ballet Philippines’ 45th anniversary season. Set in an alternate present day Philippines where the EDSA revolution failed, this musical features heroes and villains with superpowers, and a people sick with Kamanhiran (Apathy).

Leading the cast of superheroes as Bantugan “Tag-inip” Buenaventura is Sandino Martin, who recently won Best Actor at the Cinema One Originals Awards Night for his role in “Esprit de Corps”.

Classical Piano Concert By Christopher Janwong McKiggan

KMP, in partnership with the Cultural Center of the Philippines, will present a classical piano concert by acclaimed U.S.-based pianist Christopher Janwong McKiggan on February 10th at 7:30 PM at the CCP Little Theater.
